Among the many cancelations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic were the public tours of the iconic Coors brewery in Golden. Adolph Coors opened the original Coors brewery at the same site in 1973 and the tours became one of the well-known features of Coors, serving as a rite of passage for many 21-year-olds. On Monday, Coors announced the brewery tours are returning, in a revamped fashion that includes a new onsite lounge, free samples throughout the tour and complimentary aluminum cups for visitors to take home. Starting March 18, there will be tours every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with start times every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The tour takes 90 minutes and costs $20. Photo Cred: Coors Light |
