March 22 was World Water Day and it keyed the 22 ways Coloradans could save 22 gallons of water a day. What does that mean?

  • One Coloradan saving 22 gallons a day adds up to over 8,000 gallons a year
  • If every resident participated, the state would save nearly 48 billion gallons in a year
  • Most of the 22 ways to save are simple, like defrosting foods in the refrigerator instead of running water over them
