Upcoming 2024 Spring Events in Telluride
While it's bittersweet to bid farewell to yet another ski season in Telluride this Sunday, April 7th, we can enjoy one more week of spring skiing and look forward to the many spring and early summer events to come. To everything there is a season, and before we know it, the flakes will begin to fall again! Take a look at what's happening in and around town as we look forward to the Gondola re-opening Thursday, May 23rd 2024.
Gondola Reopens, May 23
We celebrate Closing Day April 7th with the KOTO Street Dance the Friday before - April 5th. The Gondola officially closes Sunday, April 7th at midnight. It is during this time of pause that Telluride and Mountain Village collect and regroup from the high winter season and prepare for a bustling summer ahead. The landscape becomes green and lush once again and wildflower hikes are abundant.
Mountainfilm, May 23-27
Memorial Day Weekend is the official kick off to the summer season (although it is technically still spring...) Mountainfilm is a spring documentary film festival slated for Memorial Day Weekend in Telluride, Colorado. It showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues. It has been held every Memorial Day weekend since 1979. Binge watch movies as you learn more about topics you can't get enough of and how you can help, not to mention the presence of many of the filmmakers, producers and subjects themselves.

Telluride Balloon Festival, May 31-June 2
The Telluride Balloon Festival is a great weekend to visit Telluride! The not-to-be-missed Balloon Glow Night is 6-10 PM Saturday night on Main Street. The balloons participating in the festival are tethered up and down Main St. - the breathtaking sight of the larger than life illuminated balloons combined with the explosive sounds of fuel and fire is an event like no other.
Telluride Food & Vine, June 13-16
A festival celebrating delicious wine and fantastic food, Telluride Food and Vine is a wonderful event bringing together visitors and locals alike. The festival touts as Telluride’s premier food and wine festival, providing the ultimate epicurean experience in Colorado’s most beautiful location.
